Chapter I

Apply to the school

This is the whole application, and none of it is a test. Tell us your name, how to reach you, which program you are after and when you can be here. That is all we are asking for at this stage.

Nothing on this page charges you anything. Nothing on this page holds you to anything either.

Start where you are.

Chapter II

Tell us where to start you

Give us a phone number or an email address — one of the two is enough, both is better. If you are not sure which program yet, say so in the box and we will work it out together.

Day and night are the two schedules on the 285 hour program. The 320 hour educator program is a day class, Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4:30pm, and continuing education runs as two four-hour days.

Enrolling needs both of these Leave them unticked if you do not have them yet. It will not stop us reading your application — we would just rather know now than on your first morning.

Questions about tuition, how long you have been braiding, what you are hoping to do with it. Up to 1200 characters.

Call 910-624-8148

We ask for the Social Security card because enrolment needs it, not because we want it on file today. Do not type the number anywhere on this page — the tick box is only telling us you have the card.

Chapter III

What happens after it reaches us

We are not going to print a turnaround time we cannot hold to. Here is the shape of it instead. If you would rather not wait on us, call.

  1. It gets read Applications come to the school directly, at the address and number on this page.
  2. We get back to you On the number or the address you gave us. If we have missed you, call us — we would rather you chase us than assume the answer was no.
  3. We talk it through Which program actually suits you, whether day or night fits your life, and the tuition figure for the program you want. That conversation is where the number comes from.
  4. You decide, then you enrol The registration fee and the kit come at enrolment, with your ID and your Social Security card. Nothing before that is a commitment.

Chapter IV

What enrolling takes

These are the figures we can put in writing today. Tuition is the one we will not, because it belongs in a conversation and not on a page that might go stale.

Registration $150
Kit fee $550
Registration and kit $650
Tuition Ask us Send this form or call 910-624-8148 and we will quote you properly for the program you want.

Bring both of these

A government photo ID or a military ID, and your Social Security card. Both, not one or the other. If you are missing something, tell us before you come in and we will tell you what we can do.

Payment options

We run payment plans in house. We take credit and debit cards, Zelle, cash and Afterpay.

Additional financial assistance is available for students aged 14 to 24. Say so on the form or ask us when you call.

Chapter V

Questions people ask first

Does applying cost anything

No. Sending this form is free and it is not binding. The $150 registration fee comes at enrolment, once you have decided.

What is the tuition

Ask us. We have deliberately not printed a figure, because a number on a page outlives the truth of it. Call 910-624-8148 or send this form and we will give you the real one for your program.

When does the next class start

Ask us that one too. Dates are ask us here, and we are not going to guess at them in print.

Do I need a licence already

Only for continuing education — those 8 hours are for stylists who already hold one. The 285 hour program and the 320 hour educator program do not ask you to arrive with a licence.

Will this get me licensed

The 285 hour program is designed to meet North Carolina’s natural hair care training requirement. The licence itself comes from the NC Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners, not from us. Confirm the current requirements with the Board directly before you spend anything.

Is there financial aid

No. Glamorous Braidz is not accredited and does not offer federal financial aid. What we do offer is payment plans in house and Afterpay. Additional financial assistance is available for students aged 14 to 24 — ask us.

Can I do this around a job

That is what the night class is for: Monday to Thursday, 5pm to 10pm. Same 285 hours as the day class.

Chapter VI

Or just call us

If a form is not how you want to do this, it does not have to be. Pick up the phone.
